Icelandic cosmetics entrepreneurs Fjóla G. Friðriksdóttir and Haraldur Jóhannsson are the founders of Spa of Iceland. The couple operated their own importing wholesale company, Forval, in Iceland from 1976 until 2013 when they sold the Cosmetic division. They launched the SPA of ICELAND 2018.

SPA of ICELAND products are created and developed by Icelandic cosmetics entrepreneurs Haraldur Jóhannsson and Fjóla G. Fridriksdóttir. The couple has operated its own importing wholesale company, Forval, in Iceland since 1976, along with manufacturing hair-care products under their own brand name from 2001- 2013
Their passion for creating high-quality cosmetics products influenced by Icelandic nature comes naturally for them, as they deeply care about their surroundings; they make products that are pure and clean as well as environmentally friendly. SPA of ICELAND products are inspired by the clean water, fresh air, and geothermal power that are important elements of the Icelandic environment. The couple has been fortunate enough to work with some great chemists and healthcare professionals in developing SPA of ICELAND products.
